Danette is one of our fearless lead volunteers at our mobile distributions and we love seeing her between her shifts as a nurse and her various adventures around the globe! We travel vicariously through her, and are always looking forward to hearing about her most recent trip.
In her own words: "It's difficult to write about yourself! I'm Danette. I started volunteering at the food bank at the end of March of 2020, right at the start of Covid. I'm a labor and delivery nurse at Sutter Roseville. I enjoy hiking and mountain biking, but my passion is traveling. If you don't see me for a while at the food bank, I'm likely on a trip! I've been to all 7 continents and I just got back from Nepal and India last week."
