We ask that folks only sign up for this shift if they have volunteered previously with FTF and are comfortable speaking with folks about their experience with our organization.
This event is an opportunity for victims of the Mosquito Fire in Placer County to get connected with a wide variety of supportive services We will be there to spread information about our available food distributions and to help people learn about and sign up for the CalFresh program (CA's food stamps program).
Volunteers will be handing out boxes and flyers to our neighbors who were effected by the fire.
Please check the weather before your shift, this event will be entirely outdoors. We will have a pop-up canopy and chairs, water, sunscreen, and snacks. There will be dinner provided at 5pm by Red Cross.
